Trump Becomes President
On November 8 was a big day for America, the presidential election. In Oklahoma 65.3% voted for Donald Trump, 28.9% voted for Hillary Clinton, and 5.7% voted for Gary Johnson. Donald Trump got 7 electoral votes from Oklahoma. In Woodward County 83.6% voted for Trump, 11.5% voted for Clinton, and 4.9% voted for Johnson. Donald Trump got a total of 290 electoral votes and Hillary Clinton got a total of 232 votes. Trump’s total popular votes was 60,526,852, and Clinton’s was 61,324,576. Hillary won the popular votes, Donald won the elector votes. Donald Trump was elected to be the 45th president of the United States. On January 20, 2017 Trump will be sworn into office at noon.
He promises America that he will build a new school choice program and create a health care system that is better and cheaper. I feel like he will be a good president and he will keep these promises he has made to America. I think that if everyone stays positive, it will help America to stay great.
