Softball

The Mooreland High School Softball team has done an excellent job this year. They are hoping to get back to state which is held at the Hall Of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.

They have a record so far of twenty-five wins and six loses.

They are ranked sixth in the state in Class A.

There are five seniors on the team this year. Stefanie Meuer, Kaitlyn Phillips, Kaleigh Crawford, Kinsey Oliver, Katelyn Schmidt.

Kaitlyn Phillips has led the softball team in hitting with an average at about 487.

Stefanie Meuer is the second leading person on the team with an average at 424.

Caitley Adams, Junior, has scored twenty-six runs for the Mooreland Lady Cats.

Emily Lintner has really stepped up for the Lady Cats, being only a freshman, she has a batting average as 403 which is the fourth best on the team. She will be a huge part of the future for the Mooreland Fast Pitch team.

Katelyn Schmidt, Senior, has been leading the defense for the team by her pitching skills. She has faced 471 batters and has struck out 57 of them.

The Mooreland LadyCats hosted Districts this past week and they won! They are headed to Regionals which is September 29th and 30th.

They beat Cherokee the first game 15-1 and beat them the second game 13-0.

Katelyn Schmidt had an amazing two games for pitching and out of those games she struck out eight girls and walked zero.

Sydney Schmidt, Junior, went four for four with her offense with five runs scored and two RBI’s.
