Sully Review

This well-made, thoughtful and intense drama is based off the true story of the USA airlines flight 1549's emergency landing in the Hudson River in January of 2009. Chesley Sullenberger is a pilot for USA airlines, he had been flying planes for over 40 years. On January 15, 2009, Sullenberger, known as "Sully," was pilot in command on Airbus A320 flight 1549 on the way from NYC's LaGuardia airport to Charlotte, North Carolina. He had taken off with his co-pilot, Jeff, but as they're heading up higher into the air and had officially taken off, a flock of birds are sucked into both engines. Sully reports this to LaGuardia and is told to land at an airport in New Jersey or try to make it back to LaGuardia, but Sully and Jeff realize they can't make it back and realize they need to make a water landing on the Hudson River. Sully swerves the plane and lands in the river, shockingly, there are only a few injuries. For the next few days, Sully is known as a national hero for saving everyone on that plane, but when the airplane company hosts a meeting with Sully and Jeff - it doesn't go the best. The airline companies claimed that Sully could have made it back to LaGuardia, but Sully and Jeff both explain that was not the case. Sully starts dealing with more issues regarding family and the government, but how will this true story end?
