The 2016 season has proved to be more challenging than last year for the bearcats. The team is coming off a historic 12-1 season which can be intimidating entering the new year.

 

The class of 2016 produced some top notch talent, all playing key roles last year. This year’s seniors have been tasked with filling the void they left behind.

 

This year, the team has started out the season 2-2. They had a historic season, and are now left trying to live up to last year. Which is very difficult to do.

 

Think back to that frigid night at Northwestern in the state quarterfinals, there was such pressure on their shoulders being the undefeated team up until that point. That type of pressure can take a toll on the players state of mind.

 

Fast forward to where we are now six games left in the season, so much left to play. Senior Jakob Snider, described his outlook on the remainder of the season as, “hopeful.”
